2010 CFDA Fashion Awards

The Council of Fashion Designers of America selected Marc Jacobs the Womenswear Designer of the Year. Marcus Wainwright and David Neville for Rag & Bone won Menswear Designer of the Year, and Alexis Bittar was Accessory Designer of the Year.

The Swarovski Award, which honors emerging talent, went to Jason Wu in the women’s wear category; Richard Chai in men’s wear and Alexander Wang for accessory design.

Ralph Lauren won the L’Oréal Popular Vote Award. Michael Kors received the Geoffrey Beene Lifetime Achievement Award, and Burberry’s Christopher Bailey got the International Award.

Vogue’s Tonne Goodman was given the Eleanor Lambert Award. Iman received the Fashion Icon Award and Paper magazine’s Kim Hastreiter took the Eugenia Sheppard Award. The Board of Director’s Special Tribute was awarded posthumously to Alexander McQueen.
