Spencer Pratt & Heidi Montag Hiding In ‘Unkempt and Unsafe’ Home

While Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag are seen stirring up drama each week on “The Hills,” the couple have actually been uncharacteristically out of the spotlight for over a month.

So where are the reality stars that everyone loves to hate?  According to Life & Style, Montag has been forced to stay inside her “unkempt and unsafe” home under the watchful eye of her hot-headed husband.

“Heidi has been allowed to leave the house only three times in the last month,” an insider tells the mag.

Never-before-seen photos of the couple’s home, which actually resides far from Hollywood in L.A.’s Pacific Palisades area, show their kitchen and living room filled with piles of junk.

Stacks of screenplays, books and coffee mugs occupy every space in the rooms. Pratt’s absurd obsession with crystals, which he believes will keep bad spirits away, is littered throughout the abode. The home’s beige carpeting also has multiple stains, presumably from the couple’s many pets.

“Their four dogs aren’t housebroken,” the source said. “They go to the bathroom all over the house. Heidi is sometimes near tears at the dogs’ mess, but Spencer just orders her to pick it up.”

Furthermore, Pratt, 26, has even moved a guard into the house.

“He’s let one of his new friends, a former Marine named Paul ‘Cougar’ Zank, move in with them. He’s staying in the guest room,” a second insider said. “Heidi’s upset about it, but Spencer doesn’t care.”

In fact, Pratt confirms the report to the mag, saying, “It’s true, I do have a Marine in the house. He’s helping me write a script.

“And yes, we’ve been out of the house only three times this month, but that’s because I’m busy working on several business ventures.”

Montag, 23, has yet to comment.
